Jewelry Care

Jewelry Care Instructions

Our pieces are made from real 18k gold, electroplated over 925 Sterling Silver or 316L Surgical Stainless Steel.

Keeping your jewelry shiny requires some care. Follow the steps below to care for your pieces.

1- Avoid interaction with harsh chemicals. Some everyday chemical combinations can be harsh on gold plating and silver. Specifically, cleaning products can affect the surface of the gold plated and silver jewelry, robbing off its natural shine.

Harmful chemicals they contain could also do a number on your personalized jewelry. Too much sudsing in the shower while wearing your personalized necklace, bracelet, or rings can cause a film to form over the precious metal, dulling the sheen and diminishing its gorgeous shine.

2- Avoid placing your jewelry under extreme weather conditions such as exposure to direct sunlight, heat, and cold as exposure for too long can decrease the quality of the appearance.

3- Our items are water and sweat friendly; however, to increase longevity and to avoid tarnishing your jewelry, be sure to remove your jewelry when changing clothes, showering, sweating, swimming, and sleeping.

Our jewelry lasts up to 8 hours under typical water climates. However, pools and jacuzzis are full of chlorine that, if exposed for too long, can cause your jewelry to discolor. So play it safe: when you're stripping down into your bathing suit, take off your jewelry too.

4- Be sure to remove your Jewelry before all intense physical activity. This will protect it from reacting to the chemicals in your sweat or from any damage that may occur in contact sports.

5- Apply makeup first, then put on your jewelry! Lotions, hairspray, and some cosmetics contain chemicals that can be harmful to your Jewelry. It is always best to apply your makeup first and then put on your jewelry in order to minimize exposure that can be damaging.

6- To clean your jewelry, use a soft and dry cotton, microfiber, or lint-free cloth to gently buff your jewelry. Be sure to store jewelry in its original packaging (soft storage bag) to increase longevity.

7- Properly storing your Jewelry will do wonders for keeping it looking new. Keep your customized Jewelry in a box where it won't get tangled up with other items or damaged from too much movement.
